Quick Tip to Add more Fat to Your Diet

One of the issues that many people face when starting on a Paleo-lifestyle is “How do I get more healthy fat in my diet?” After years of avoiding fat because I thought it was bad for me, it takes a conscious effort on my part to make sure I’m taking in enough to remain healthy and lean out.  (Note:  You lean out because you regain insulin sensitivity and actually start to use fat as a major energy source of energy.)

One easy way to add more fat to your meals is simply to slip a small chunk of Coconut Oil into your cup of coffee or black tea in the morning. The oil melts fast, tastes great, and will help keep you full until lunch!  Not to mention all of the awesome health benefits that coconut has – this certainly looks like a win-win to me.

If you are sitting there thinking no way in hell this tastes good, I challenge you to give it a try! I steeled myself before my first sip too, but was pleasantly surprised and now plan to add this to my morning cup of Earl Grey or coffee.

    I like a bit of coconut milk in my coffee, and on occasion i’ll do creamer. Coconut oil is something I always like to cook with. It makes everything taste great 🙂

      I love cooking with coconut oil too! I’d like to use coconut milk in coffee, but I only have the really thick kind that coagulates on top. Do you use that or the drinkable coconut milk? I’ve heard it’s really good.
